I-95 Ranked 5th Deadliest Interstate in America – Jacksonville Car Accident Lawyer
A study done by EverQuote has ranked I-95 as the fifth deadliest highway in the United States of America with .89 fatalities per a mile. Interstate 95 runs almost two thousand miles from Florida to Maine, with a portion going right by Jacksonville.
Amazingly, I-95 is not the deadliest highway in Florida. The number one deadliest highway in all of the United States is I-4, which runs only 132 miles from Tampa to Daytona. It has a rate of 1.41 fatalities per a mile.
According to the United States Department of Transportation there has been more than a 10% increase in the first half of 2016 as compared to the previous year.
Although fatalities can be attributed to many factors, it is likely that many of it is due to distracted driving, including cell phone use while driving.
Please be careful out there. And please, do not use your cell phone while driving. If you or someone you know is injured because you are struck by a distracted driver, call Cagan & Cagan today for a free consultation.
